3 out of 5 stars Still Undecided   August 26, 2008

I am not sure I liked this season. I liked the idea of fast forwarding the show 5 years into the future but thought that the plot needed more depth and richness. Personally, I have been upset since the third season that Jake and Peyton did not work out. Mark Schwann left that plot line open ended and in an attempt to give Peyton her happy ending, re-visited the whole Lucas love triangle. Running out of women to date in their circle (The only person left was Haley, and she is taken) he suddenly realized that Peyton was the one?! He said the same thing about Brooke and now, who knows about Lindsay....
I just thought that what was missing was the balance between the adult world and that of their children that some of us might have gotten used to over the previous 4 seasons. It took then awhile to let us know what happened to Deb, Karen and Whitey although they waisted no time with Dan.
Naley's kid James is a little annoying to be honest. James is to grown up for my taste. A few times, I had to remind myself that he is 4 turning 5 and yet... I have a 4 year old and I can assure you, James was a little too mature.
As for Nathan, well... He must of gotten a huge endorsement deal because the house that they live in, the cars not to mention the expensive private school that James attends is quite impressive for someone who ALMOST made it to the NBA. What is going to happen when they run out of money?!
Peyton was tortured this season. It reminded me of season 3 when she found out she was adopted. It was great except, Hilary Burton was way too thin. I was wondering, did it have to do with Peyton's dark times. Hopefully, things will pick up.
Anyway, I will end my rant right here and conclude with this;
OTH is still an amazing series. I am going to purchase Season 5 and cannot wait for Season 6 to start next week. Now that they have turned their fast forward into a reality, I am hoping they will strengthen the plot line and give us fans an amazing season.

I watched OTH season 5 religiously on the CW and I absolutely loved it. For all you OTH fans, this season is worth buying...there attempt in fast forwarding four years after they all graduated from college was risky yet they executed it fantastically. I reccomend this tv series for all those who love music and who truly believe in love and relationships! GO NALEY!
